Sophia Halling and I co-direct two community choirs, Barbed Choir in Penzance, and Raise the ‘Ruth in Redruth.
We both arrange nearly all of our repertoire to provide material unique to our groups. All our songs are for a cappella harmony.
Our choirs are about bringing people who love to sing together, regardless of ability or previous experience.
• Raise the ‘Ruth rehearse on Monday evenings at 7:15pm.
• Barbed Choir rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7:00pm.
• Songs are learned by ear, so there is no need to read music.
• There are no auditions.
• Just bring yourself, water, something to write with, and your enthusiasm and commitment.

Raise the 'Ruth Community Choir
Rehearse on Mondays during term-time in music room 106 at Redruth School, Tolgus Vean, Redruth, Cornwall, TR15 1TA. There are multiple car parks, for access without steps use the 'deliveries' carpark, and follow the route on the video. We begin with a physical and vocal warm-up at 1915h, finishing at 2045h.
Barbed Choir
Rehearse on Thursday during term-time at Humphry Davy School, Coombe Road, Penzance, TR18 2TG (room 10). We begin with a physical and vocal warm-up at 1900h, finishing at 2030h.
